Accommodation & Food

All accommodation booking through our registration system was closed on 31st May at midnight. No more changes are possible. Team rosters are locked and will be sent to your national association for approval. If you have any questions concerning your booked accommodation you can send us an email to accommodation@wucc2010.com.

Please note that there is no refund in case of cancellation the booked accommodation. If a player is injured and cannot come to play at WUCC 2010, please send us his medical report and we will cancel his registration which is also subject to cancellation penalty. For more information about penalties see the Fees section.

If you are registered and you have not booked your accommodation yet we can recommend the following:
- Strahov dormitories – send an email to doskoca@suz.cvut.cz
- Pyramida hotel – please contact Mrs. Svobodova at svobodova@jerome.cz. For more information on hotel Pyramida please look at http://www.hotelpyramida.cz/.

If you want to extend your accommodation to nights before or after the tournament in IRIS, Slavia or Juno, please contact Ms. Martina Svobodova at svobodova@jerome.cz. She can speak English and is aware of that you will be contacting her in this matter. In any urgent cases you can use her phone number +420 222 748 820. Please note that this contact is only for extension.

General information

Accommodation is located in the vicinity of the tournament area. Students' dorms Strahov are located near the playing area of Strahov, all other accommodation options are located next to the playing area Vršovice.

All teams have to check-in for the tournament first before going to selected hotel. The tournament check-in will be at Strahov.

Half board (breakfast and dinner) is included in the price of accommodation. Your first meal will be dinner on Saturday, July 3 and your last meal will be breakfast on Saturday, July 10 (or Sunday, July 11). There is no accommodation option without dining. Hotel breakfast is served in a complimentary buffet style. Breakfast at the Strahov dorms will be half buffet and half continental. Dinner will have a choice of three or four meals, one of which will be vegetarian (only for those who have selected vegetarian food in the registration form). If you decide for the option "no accommodation no food" in the registration process you do not pay the "accommodation & food" fee and you will have to arrange for accommodation and for food on your own (please note that tournament transportation is only arranged from and to accommodation options provided by us).

You can buy meals including lunch during the day at restaurants and food stalls located at both tournament areas.

Check-out takes place in morning hours. You can leave your bags at bag depository available at all hotels until evening. For more information on parking possibilities please see each hotel specification. Wireless internet access is available at all locations either directly at hotel rooms or at a selected area in a hotel.

We have booked six accommodation facilities (see Hotel Description for more information):

• Hotel Iris – part of the Vrsovice tournament area, hotel capacity 215 people, 107 double rooms
• Hotel Slavia – located in the vicinity of the Vrsovice tournament area, capacity 200 people, 100 double rooms
• Hotel Fortuna City – located 3 km from the Vrsovice tournament area, approximately 4 minutes by car, capacity 471 people, 37 triple rooms and 180 double rooms
• Hotel Rhea – located 3,5 km from the Vrsovice tournament area, about 10 minutes by car, capacity 300 people, 75 apartments (two double rooms sharing one bathroom)
• Hotel Juno – located 2,6 km from the Vrsovice tournament area, about 10 minutes by car, capacity 200 people, 100 double rooms
• Students’ dorms Strahov – located in the vicinity of the Strahov tournament area, capacity 1700 people, 8500 double rooms

Free shuttle bus service for players and guests with tournament ID card will operate between all the hotels and both tournament areas.

The below mentioned prices are for one person in the specified type of accommodation. Thanks to booking in large groups the price per person is lower than if ordered individually.

Hotel Iris

• The hotel lies next to the Vršovice tournament area.
• Single and double rooms. All rooms have standard equipment including a satellite LCD TV, a music audio channel, minibar, digital safe, telephone with direct extension, and an internet connection. Bathroom equipment includes a bathtub or a shower, WC and a hair dryer.
• Guests are required to pay a refundable deposit upon arrival at the reception desk (this covers the use of the minibar, phone calls etc. EUR 30/person).
• The hotel is located 10 - 15 minutes from the center of Prague (Wenceslas Square, National Museum, Opera) by public transportation. It is 16km to the Ruzyně Airport, 3.5 km to the Wenceslas Square, 7 km to Prague Castle, 6 km to Holešovice Fairgrounds, and 4km to Main Railway Station.
• The hotel is near the Slavia sports complex with a large array of services including a fitness center, massage, swimming arena with an indoor pool of 25 x 12m, children’s pool, sauna/massage, tanning salon and a cosmetics shop. A 50-m swimming pool is open in the summer.
• The hotel is approximately 200 m from the shopping centre Eden.
• Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire hotel area.
• Parking is available within the hotel area.
• Meals (breakfast and dinner) are served in complimentary buffet style. Dinner has a choice of four dishes, one of which is vegetarian.
• This hotel requires a refundable 30 Euro deposit for each person

Hotel Slavia

• The hotel lies next to the Vršovice tournament area.
• Three-star rooms: Single and double rooms come equipped with a shower, WC, satellite TV, and a telephone with direct dialing.
• Guests are required to pay a refundable deposit upon arrival at the reception desk (this includes the use of minibar, phone calls etc. The exact amount will be disclosed.)
• The hotel is located 10-15 minutes from the center of Prague (Wenceslas Square, National Museum, Opera) by public transportation. It is 16 km to the Ruzyně Airport, 3.5 km to the Wenceslas Square, 7 km to Prague Castle, 6km to Holešovice Fairgrounds, and 4 km to Main Station.

• Check the website (this hotel was recently renamed from Quality Hotel to Fortuna City Hotel, but the website still use the old name)

• Double and triple rooms come equipped with shower, WC, satellite TV, and a telephone.
• The hotel is located 10-15 minutes from the center of Prague (Wenceslas Square, National Museum, Opera) by public transportation. It is 18km to the Ruzyně Airport, 5.5km to the Wenceslas Square, and 9km to Prague Castle.
• Free Wi-Fi is available in the hotel lobby.
• Paid parking is available in the vicinity of the hotel.
• Meals (breakfast and dinner) are served in a complimentary buffet style. Dinner has a choice of four dishes, one of which is vegetarian.

Hotel Rhea

• The hotel is located 2 km from the tournament area in Vršovice and 300 m from Fortuna City hotel
• Apartments: Each apartment has two double rooms and one bathroom. We recommend you fill in all four beds to share the bathroom with people you know. Can be shared with a team you know as well.
• Distance to the center of Prague (Wenceslas Square) 15-20 minutes by public transport – tram stop „Zborov – Strašnické divadlo“ is located 200m from the hotel, underground station „Strašnická“ is 10 min walk from the hotel, Airport: 18 km, Václavské náměstí: 5,5 km, Pražský Hrad: 9 km
• Hotel restaurant and snack bar is available.
• Free Wi-Fi is available in the hotel lobby, other internet connection is charged.
• Parking is available close to the hotel area and is for free.
• Meals (breakfast and dinner) are served in complimentary buffet style. Dinner has a choice of three dishes (one is a vegetarian dish).

Hotel Juno

• The hotel is located 2 km from the tournament area in Vršovice.
• Double and single rooms come equipped with shower, WC, satellite TV, telephone and safe deposit.
• The hotel is located 10 - 15 minutes from the center of Prague (Wenceslas Square, National Museum, and Opera) by public transportation. It is 18 km to the Ruzyne Airport, 5.5 km to the Wenceslas Square, and 9 km to Prague Castle.
• Internet terminal with free Wi-Fi.
• Free parking for cars, paid parking for buses (200 CZK for day).
• Meals (breakfast and dinner) are served in complimentary buffet style. Dinner has a choice of four dishes (one is a vegetarian dish).

Students’ dorms Strahov

• Address: Vaníčkova 7, Prague 6
• Category: hostel
• The accommodation lies in the vicinity of the Strahov tournament area.
• Rooms: Double rooms, shared bathrooms for more rooms on each floor. Rooms are small, very simple, equipped with older furniture.
• A canteen is located on the grounds of the student dorms, as well as clubs, bars, restaurants, shops, a sports field and copy center.
• Distance to the center of Prague (Wenceslas Square) 25 minutes, Prague Castle 10 minutes, Ruzyně Airport 45 minutes (all by public transportation).
• An Internet connection has yet to be arranged.
• Parking is available outside the dorms for a price that is in negotiations now.
• Breakfast is served in cafeteria style. A choice of four dishes is available for dinner (one vegetarian).

Children

Children under 3 years are for free if no bed is required.

Children aged 3 to 11 years will be charged 50% of the price for adults. These children need to stay in the same room as their parents at an extra bed.

Children aged 12 years and over will be charged full amount.

We kindly ask you to register all children aged 3 and more years into the registration system. Children are welcome at all hotels however we do not recommend accommodating children at Strahov hostel.
