Check-in

When and where is the check-in?
Check-in will be at Strahov (please see section on Transport for exact information how to get there).
Early check-in will be opened on Friday 2nd July between 14.00 and 17.30 for teams being already in Prague. Please let us know in advance if you are coming for Friday´s check-in, thank you. Check-in for all other teams will be at the same place on Saturday 3rd July between 9.00 and 18.00.

What will I need for check-in?
We kindly ask one or two representatives from each team to come for check-in. Financial issues will be controlled first. Thereafter we will collect signed participation agreement from all players and guests from your team. We need them all, there are no exceptions. If these two stages are fine you will get IDs and players package for your team. For more details please see the section on check-in.

Playing system

When will be published the schedule?
We understand that you can't wait to know which teams will you play and when will your first match start. Please please be patient, we are working hard to deliver the shedule as soon as possible but we need a little more time. You won't speed up the process by asking. :-)

What are the playing days?
First playing day for all teams is Sunday 4th July. Last playing day is Friday 9th July. Each team shall have two games per day. Saturday 10th July is the finals day. The playing schedule will be known in advance, you will find it on this web in the Schedule section. WFDF will arrange for the seeding, Czech organizing committee will prepare the playing schedule in cooperation with WFDF.

Shall divisions (open, women...) play at specific playing areas? We want to have accommodation as close to the fields as possible...
The playing schedule will cannot reflect this. It is very probable that your team will play at both locations during the event. We will do our best so that a team plays both its daily games at one area to avoid moving during the day. There is only Strahov dorms accommodation at the Strahov area, all other hotels are close to the Vrsovice area. Transportation will be arranged for you to get from your accommodation to playing areas and back.

How can I book accommodation after closing of the registration system?
If you are registered and you have not booked your accommodation yet we can recommend the following:
- Strahov dorms – send an email to doskoca@suz.cvut.cz
- Pyramida hotel – please contact Ms. Svobodova at svobodova@jerome.cz. For more information on hotel Pyramida please look at http://www.hotelpyramida.cz/.
If you have not registered till May 31st you can still arrange for accommodation through these contacts. However as the registration is closed you can no more become a player or guest at WUCC and get an ID. The access to fields is for free. However you will not be allowed neither to use the WUCC transport nor to enter parties.

We want to come earlier/stay longer. Is it possible to book accommodation for other days?
Standard accommodation length is from Saturday 3rd July till Saturday 10th July.
If you want to stay till Sunday 11th July, please book it through our registration system and you will get this extra night for the same favourable price as all other standard days.

If you want to stay for any other extra nights, meaning before or after the event, it does not go through the registration system and it is your own responsibility book and pay for that accommodation.
If you want to stay in the same hotel as you have chosen for the event to avoid moving between places, it might be possible however you will be charged actual prices of that hotel.

If you want to extend your accommodation in IRIS, Slavia or Hotel Juno, please contact Ms. Martina Svobodova at svobodova@jerome.cz. She can speak English and is aware you will be contacting her in this matter. In any urgent cases you can use her phone number +420 222 748 820.

Can two persons be accommodated in a „single room“?
No. It is not possible to accommodate two persons in a single room.“Single room” means one bed for one person. “Double room” means a room with two beds, each bed for one person.

Volunteers

I want to become a volunteer for this great event. What shall I do?
If you want to participate in the WUCC 2010 in Prague as a volunteer, please, fill out the form available at contact page (select the “volunteering” category) or directly via email below. Write briefly about yourself, your language skills, experience with ultimate frisbee and volunteer work at tournaments. If you apply for a specific position, write it into you application. What does it mean to be a volunteer? What will be my duties? Will I have free time to visit Prague and look around?

Team and player fees

I have realized that we still have debts to be paid. What shall I do now?

We kindly ask all team representatives to check carefully financial issues concerning their team, meaning amount to be paid, amount paid and whether there are any debts or surpluses.

If your debt exceeds 200 eur please send the money by bank transfer at the latest by this Friday 25th June so that we get them in time. If you cannot send the money by bank transfer please write to Honza at honza@wucc2010.com to get a special permission to pay these amounts in cash. If your debt does not exceed 200 eur please bring the money to check-in in cash.

How do I know that you have received our team or player fees?
Contact person can check this in the registration system: click on “Register” on the left column, then “View Payments”. We’re updating that several times a week.

I have sent our payment via bank transfer and I am not sure how much the bank charges will be.

Once we receive your payment it will be stated in “View Payments”. If any bank charges occur it will be stated as a penalty payment. We kindly ask you to pay this amount together with the next fee you will pay.

How shall I specify our payment so you can assign it to our team?
Please use the reference number assigned to your team in the registration system as a variable number when sending your payment. Plus, name your team name in the note/message part. Please note that it is very important. Without this specification we cannot identify the payments.

Can you send us an invoice?
Yes, we can send you the invoice once requested by you. Please let us know at honza@wucc2010.com

What are the bank charges of your bank?

While sending the payment please make sure to pay all fees of your bank and also all fees for the transfer and fees of our bank. We need to have the exact amount required credited to our account.

Other

We need visa to enter the Czech Republic/the European Union. Can you please help us?
Please contact us at enjoy@wucc2010.com and the Czech organizing team will send you an invitation letter pursuant to your needs. Please check at the Embassy any specific requirements for the invitation letter.

I'm the contact person for our team and have not received an email from WUCC organisers for a long time. Is it possible?
We try to update you with any news that concern the registration, accommodation, rosters, plans for WUCC etc. You shall be getting emails quite often about various issues. If not, we kindly ask you to check your email address in the registration system as we send emails to that address and if that address is correct please check your spam filter if your email is not lost there. General information can be also found on this web in appropriate section. If you didn't receive any email from the Czech organizing committee over a month send an email to enjoy@wucc2010.com to make sure you are not missing anything.

We would like to have the logo WUCC 2010 at our team uniforms. Is that possible?
Please remember that the Worlds logo is official property of WFDF and the WUCC 2010 organizing committee. It has been licensed to Five Ultimate for use on WUCC 2010 merchandise, and it is strictly forbidden for any other entity to use the logo (or the tournament name) without explicit permission from WFDF. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us.

Please note that there are intellectual property rights to the logo WUCC 2010 and it is not possible to use it without permission from the Czech organizing team.

The only official merchandising company of the event is FiveUltimate. If you order your team uniforms from FiveUltimate you are directly allowed to have the logo WUCC2010 on your uniforms. FiveUltimate is in close cooperation with the Czech organizing team concerning the logo WUCC 2010 and related issues.

Why do you need my picture for registration?

You will have your picture on your ID. All players and guests will need their IDs to be allowed to enter all events organised during WUCC 2010. Entry will be checked very carefully mostly for evening parties but also for some of the fields. Your IDs will be also checked in buses arranged for transportation during the event.

We need you to give us a picture of you in which we can recognise you. A picture of your face is required, not your whole body or picture with your friends or children. Please no sunglasses etc. Thanks. Reccomended resolution is 100 x 150 px.

If your picture seems deformed in the registration system do not worry it will be OK on your badge.

There are several contact email addresses. Can you please specify which one shall I use for which inquiry?
